In this guide you install a complete WordPress website in just a few clicks. Ideal if you want to build your own blog, business site or online shop.
What do you need?
- A website that has already been created in the control panel (see our guide “Adding a new website”)
- Your login details for the control panel
Step 1: Log in and choose your website
Go to https://cp.vcloudhosting.eu and log in. In the menu on the left, click Websites and then click the website on which you want to install WordPress.
Step 2: Go to the installer
Within your website’s settings, click WordPress (or Apps, depending on your screen). Then click the Install WordPress button.
Step 3: Fill in the details
Fill in the following fields:
- Site title: the name of your website, for example “My Company”. You can always change this later.
- Username: the login name you will use to manage WordPress. Choose something other than “admin” for extra security.
- Password: choose a strong password and keep it safe.
- Email address: this is where you will receive important notifications about your website.
Step 4: Install
Click Install. The system now automatically sets up WordPress for you, including the database and all settings. This usually takes less than a minute.
Step 5: Log in to WordPress
As soon as the installation is complete, you will see a link ending in /wp-admin. From now on, you log in to your WordPress dashboard via that link, using the username and password you have just chosen.
Tip: save the link https://jouwdomein.be/wp-admin in your bookmarks so you can always find it quickly.
What next?
