Our kyzoe.be hosting packages are designed for a single application, such as WordPress. However, if you want to add an extra subdomain with a simple HTML or PHP website, you can easily do so by following the guide below.
If you need hosting for several applications, we recommend purchasing an additional hosting package.
Adding a subdomain in the Kyzoe client area
- Log in to your cp.kyzoe.be account.
- In the left-hand menu, click Websites and select the website to which you want to add an extra domain.
- In the top menu, click Domains and then Add domain.
- You will now see three options: Addon, Subdomain and Alias.
In this guide we use the Subdomain option. - Enter the subdomain you want, without the
www.part. - Under Document root you can set a custom folder if you want to use separate content for each subdomain.
We recommend using the name of the subdomain here, without the domain extension (for example:jouwsubdomein). - The subdomain has now been added, but the corresponding folder still has to be created manually.
Via the top menu, go to Files, click New → Folder and give the folder the same name as the chosen document root (for examplejouwsubdomein). - Click Create.
You can now upload your website files to this folder. Once everything is ready, you can change the domain’s nameservers to put the subdomain live.
